It's my friend Debbie's birthday today.   This card is my first attempt at a lollipop made from baker's twine.   The inspiration came from one of my lovely customers, Lou.  Thanks Lou for a super design.

Ink:  Riding Hood Red
Bakers Twine, Whisper White stitched ribbon (sneak peek from the new catalogue due out in Sept)

Sizzix adhesive sheets

Happy Thursday!

PPA137

This is a card I made for a Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge this week.   I hadn't started out to make a Christmas card, but that's how it ended up.

I just love the little Robin Red Breast.  I made him by inking one of the birds from the Aviary stamp set using markers.  So cute!

Supplies used:
Stamp Set: Baroque Motifs, Aviary & Small Script (R)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
Ink: Old Olive & Early Espresso classic ink pads, Early Espresso & Real Red markers
DSP: Early Espresson from the DSP Neutral Stack
Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade & Victoria Crochet Trim
Large & small oval punches.
I traced a plant pot for the circle and hand cut it.

Hope you have a crafty day.

Cheers

Boy oh Boy!

Just a quick post today with a pic of a card I made for a friends birthday.

I love this set!   It's called Best Dad Ever and has four different greetings along with the tie stamp so it's really versatile.  I love that you can colour the ties with markers to get a different look and it's such a classic style that it would suit all the men in your life.

The available greetings are:  Happy Birthday (well duh!), Thinking of You, Best Dad Ever, and Happy Father's Day.

Hope you are having a good week.......and staying dry!
Cheers

Catching up is Tricky!

I've been so busy since I came home from Convention....giggle.....kids, hubby, dog, shopping, classes, good heavens!

I have had another drool look over my swaps and just photographed a few of my favs to share today.

This gorgeous brooch/pin is by Suzanne Barnard.   It is made from our beautiful Timeless Portrait fabric.  Far more beautiful in real life.

The wonderfully talented Nerida Carter created this yummy origami folded pouch....why is it yummy?  Because it contained a coffee bag AND chocolate......um mmmmmmmm!

Someone stole the chocolate........oh no, that was me!

Anyone for cake?  It would go rather nicely with the coffee above and the tea below!   This clever creation is by Sonya Alcock.   I love it!

My clever downline Michelle Hughes made this gorgeous little sachet.  Yes, there's a tea bag inside for emergencies. Michelle doesn't have a card blog so I'm sending you to her cake website.  Yes, she's multi-talented!

Now, one final treat......this real looking strawberry was made by Michelle Davis..  Don't you love the seeds?

This angle really shows the shape very well.  Super Cute

Well, that's all from me for now.  Stay warm & dry, it really is winter today!
Cheers

Convention 2012

I'm back!  And what a fun time I've had in lovely Canberra.  The drive down was fun with Michelle & Tracy in the car, lots of laughs, and lots of room to move.  Not quite the same coming home.  Well, still laughing, but now we're crammed in between all the bags from Memento Mall and the shopping we did at the Bus Depot craft market on our way home!!  Oh, and Berrima.  Yum, what a super time we've had.

This was dinner on our first night at Tossolini's.  Yummy Italian food and a little bevvie to warm us up (it was around 2 degrees down there!)
Sorry about the blurry, I think my lip gloss leaked all over the view finder on my phone!  This was getting ready for our first general session.
On the stage.  This year's theme was "I AM......" hence the giant framelit in the background.  We got in a little bit of trouble for getting on the stage - we didn't know we weren't allowed, sorry Derek......Oops...ssshhhhh!

The lovely Shelli with Tracy & Michelle.  Yes, I'm in the pic too, but it's the most horrid picture EVER so you will never see the whole thing!

I am still working through my swaps & project pics so will post those later in the week.  If you are coming to a class this week you will get to see - and touch - them.   But I have tons of pics of amazing projects to share as well.

Happy Monday!

Convention Swaps

I'm preparing this post ahead of time because I didn't want to wait until I get home to share my swaps with you this year.

Yes, you'll have to wait to see the swaps I get in exchange, but since I will have given them all out by the time this post pops up I'm not spoiling the surprise for anyone.

All up, I made 70 necklaces.   They all have DSP on them and either a rhinestone or pearl jewel.
The Basic Black & Flirtatious DSP came out looking gorgeous.

Interestingly, a couple of the papers changed colour slightly when I added the Crystal Effects.

Cute eh?    I do hope some of the lovely ladies wear them.  I'll be wearing mine as I've co-ordinated them with my outfits....giggle.

Happy Friday!
