Weekly Deals - New Today 1 October 2014

This week's deals are below.......
Think I may have to order some of those boxes - they're a great size and you get 3 in a pack....Yay! The finished box is 15.2cm x 15.2cm and 11.5cm high, so it will hold quite a lot of goodies.

I decorated this one with a band of Designer Series Paper (Nordic Noel 135822) - I used Snail adhesive (104332) to attach it.  The Fancy Foil Vellum (133363) is a lovely overlay (also comes in stripes and hearts, gold and silver) and our  Burlap ribbon (132140) which makes a fabulous bow.

Call or email me to order, or go direct to my online store here.

Happy Wednesday

First Prize!

Back in February I had a crafty day at home with my friend Lee all the way from Minnesota.  We're new friends as Lee found me at Glebe markets last October, but since she was here in Sydney to support her hubby who was working here, we became fast friends - lots of memories of me doing a similar thing in San Diego with Matthew.
Anyway, Lee has recently "discovered" craft and it's been quite lovely watching her "aha" & "wow" moments as she learned all sorts of new ways to express her creativity.   It's very contagious and I got inspired to make a purse to hold some cards.  It was intended as a gift, until I got asked if I'd like to submit an exhibition piece for this year's Sun-Herald Family Show at Fox Studios, Moore Park.

Thinking, "what the heck, I'll have a go", the card purse and it's contents seemed like a nice submission.  So I sent it off last week.
We visited today, took the kids, had a bit of fun on the rides & sideshow alley, bought a couple of show bags and then wandered over to the craft exhibitors area.......and guess what?  There was my little purse complete with a blue "first place" ribbon.   Woooooooohoooooooooo, I won!

I'm so excited.
Cheers

Card Purse

This is a super quick post, I'll pop back with details later.

I've been dying to make one of these and finally found some time yesterday while my friend Lee was over.

I dug out some retired paper......Urban Oasis I think.   What do you think?    It's super cute and would make a lovely gift.  I put four cards and envelopes inside.

I feel a stamp camp coming on!
Ciao for now!

Mini Milk Carton

Poppy Parade is a red that I'm slowly getting used to.   There's something about it that's a bit garish when I see it next to Real Red & Cherry Cobbler.  Yet, on it's own, it's very pretty.
This is a smaller-than-usual card using the vase of flowers from Button Buddies.  Our buttons are designed to coordinate with this set and the little flower ones from the Brights collection are perfect.  Everyday Enchantment was used to make the narrow border on the bottom of the card and the 2 1/2" circle behind the vase.  Pool Party ruffled ribbon completes the look.

The Mini Milk Carton is made using the die by the same name for the Big Shot.  This looks complicated, but it's super easy and you only need a small amount of Sticky Strip to hold it together.  The tag is from SU some years back.  I didn't stamp directly onto it because the metal edge makes it a bit touch and go to get a good finish so I stamped onto Very Vanilla, punched it out and stuck it on with snail.  The Trio Flower Punch (R) was used with Calypso Coral and Pool Party and tiny pearls from our Basic Jewels are the centres.
Happy Tuesday.
