Weekly Deals - New Today 1 October 2014

This week's deals are below.......
Think I may have to order some of those boxes - they're a great size and you get 3 in a pack....Yay! The finished box is 15.2cm x 15.2cm and 11.5cm high, so it will hold quite a lot of goodies.

I decorated this one with a band of Designer Series Paper (Nordic Noel 135822) - I used Snail adhesive (104332) to attach it.  The Fancy Foil Vellum (133363) is a lovely overlay (also comes in stripes and hearts, gold and silver) and our  Burlap ribbon (132140) which makes a fabulous bow.

Call or email me to order, or go direct to my online store here.

Happy Wednesday

The Beauty of Flowers

On holiday recently, I took this picture of a climber on a pagola. Stunning!   I love the rich colour and the beautiful shape of the petals.   These flowers also start out as tight little buds that look like berries.  Isn't nature clever?   Interestingly, a lot of the flowers were full of bees - some had as many as 3 bees collecting pollen deep inside each of them.  It was so cute to see them popping out!

At our last Darling Stamp & Scrap Club we were treated to a demonstration of paper flowers by Michelle Hughes, fellow SU! demonstrator and PaperLicious team member.   Michelle is a whiz at making gorgeous flowers and showed us some lovely techniqes and ideas for projects.

Kristen, long time friend and fellow crafter came to club and learned how to do the flowers with the idea of using them to decorate boxes.   She's used some SU! DSP to make these.   Aren't they lovely?   The colours are Concord Crush and Real Red.

That's the beauty of club.  We share the love!  Why don't you come along next month and see what we're up to?  Visit the Darling Stamp & Scrap page for more details.

Have a good weekend.

Easter Basket

Every year I make some sort of easter basket.  This one started out as Box #2 for the Big Shot - you need one of these!!

I used the Top Note, also for the Big Shot.   Remember the green Top Note frame I used yesterday?  Well today I used the die cut to make this little box.   I've added some gorgeous DSP from Bella Rose, now retired, but still a favourite.

The pink scallop strip is a sneaky peaky at the edgelit that's coming in the Autumn-Winter mini available April 1st.  It has cute 'bumps' on each scallop.

Guess where those Riding Hood Red Boho Blossoms came from.......yep, they are the flowers from the stencil I used yesterday as well.

Oh it's so satisfying to use up EVERYTHING!

Happy Tuesday!

Easter goodies

Ah, the bunny has been and gone, the waistline is a little extended, but the boxes that the goodies came in remain!

These were gifts to me and my girls made by my friend Susie - you can check out her other gorgeous creations at http://paperalchemy-susie.blogspot.com/

Aren't they adorable?   I love the beaded flowers on the pink spotty boxes, and those little padded fabric flowers are so cute.  They look like miniature pin cushions!  Thanks Susie!

Hope you're warm and dry today - and possible crafting too!
Cheers
