Well, I have the perfect project for this challenge which is all about boxes and bags.
I absolutely love making bags and special packaging for gifts, so I am thrilled to share this with you.
The nature of SUO challenges is that they are "Stampin' Up! Only" so you can only use SU products. And that's not hard when your craft room is full of them!! Here's a link to their blog if you'd like to check it out.
This bag is soooooo simple. It uses 2 sheets of DSP and a strip of a third piece to define the top. I particularly love this paper, Floral District, and especially the sheets I've used because those poppies lend themselves beautifully creating the feature of the bag. I made the ribbon surrounds using a 1" circle punch and punched the centre out using the 3/8" hole from the Crop-a-dile. The ribbon is white Organza, also SU.
Happy Wednesday!
Make something special to celebrate mid week!
Cheers
Karen

Another Bag
Rummaging through my stash I found a few more felt flowers from the other colour range - I think it was Choc Chip, Baja Breeze & Pretty in Pink.
This time I used Circle Circus for the stamps. Doesn't it stamp nicely on fabric? So cute, I'm loving playing with these and now I think I may have to go buy some felt and cut out my own flowers with the Big Shot.
Watch this space!
Thanks for looking. And have a crafty day.

Gift Bag
I think packaging for gifts is almost as important as the gift itself. Some people just screw up the wrapping paper and throw it away. But not me! And that particularly goes for gift bags. I love them! You can also re use them so it's a nice recycling opportunity, but if something is especially pretty AND it's been handmade, then it makes you feel extra special. With that in mind, I made this......
You may have seen the bag style before, because I've made quite a lot of them. They are incredibly easy using 2 sheets of 12" x 12" paper and some score lines - there's NO CUTTING involved! I also like the way the Jumbo Brads make nice supports for the holes that the ribbon handles go through, and if you're lucky enough to have a Crop-a-dile then you'll know how easy that is to do. (Call me to order one if you haven't got one - you'll wonder how you ever did without it!) They're only $54.95 and will circle punch through everything from paper & cardstock to chipboard and tin. You can also easily set eyelets and all sorts of brads without disturbing the peace or hammering your fingers flat!
Have a super weekend

| I've used the Something Sweet Stamp Set on this bag & I've cheated - it was a card front that I made ages ago but was a perfect finishing touch to the Pink Pirouette DSP. |
