Crafting in Minnesota

Having a crafty day while the temp drops to -20c. Yes you read right!

My creation is inspired by Brian King at www.stampwithbrian.com

The colours are a little off because of the light. It's Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Whisper White.  There are a number of materials used from the non SU pile so I'm not going to list items. Just enjoy the picture!

Here's Hayley's creation - inspired by her love of Crumb Cake.

And here's Lees inspired entirely by herself!

What a super crafty afternoon we had together. And it's still very cold outside but we're going out for dinner anyway!! Here's a pic from earlier today.

Happy new year everyone
Cheers

Gift Card Holder for Any Time of Year

Yes, I know it's a snowflake, but it's not in Christmas colours and it's so pretty it would make a lovely holder for a birthday gift card, don't you think?
The DSP is Venetian Romance.  And this cute little holder was made using the Envelope Punch Board.  I have some tutorials coming up in the new year.
Burlap adds lovely texture and works so nicely with this paper, wrapped around like a belly band!
And what about those Frosted Finishes from the holiday catalogue?  Hurry up and order them before the catalogue is finished in January.  (Actually Feb 1st).

Yummy Packages

There's always a little scrap of paper left over that you can turn into a treat container:
This was super quick and was made with all scraps.  It's kind of like the old "Sunny Boy" twisted containers. Very easy to make from a piece of DSP that you seal into a rectangle then seal one end of the rectangle together.  Fill with treats and seal the other end in the opposite direction.  Voila!

It's almost time for the big guy in the red suit.....have you been naughty or nice?!

NOT Christmas!

I have a couple of quick thank you cards for you today.......

Using Gorgeous Grunge, I've stamped them punched with the Postage Stamp punch.  The greeting is long retired and the little arrow is from Hello Lovely.
This card also uses some DSP from the current Season of Style Stack in the current holiday catalogue.  The washi tape adds extra interest in crumb cake.

Tip:  When you want to make a few different cards quickly, stick to a colour scheme.  It really helps speed up the process.

The Absent Blogger.......

I haven't blogged in weeks!   I'm still here though, and still being PaperLady, I've just been incredibly busy with classes and lots of seasonal business stuff going on.

That said, today's my last day "in the office" so to speak, so I'm scheduling a couple of projects for the next few weeks and then I'll be back with a vengeance in the new year!

Here's todays offering:

These little gift boxes - item #130927 in the annual catalogue are gorgeous with their acetate sleeves.
I've stamped the sleeves with White StazOn ink, using the Festive Flurry stamp set and the the teeny snowflake is from the Snow Day stamp set.
I made the tags using the Festive Flurry stamp set and co-ordinating framelits for the Big Shot.   The sentiment is from A Banner Christmas.
You can easily stamp on the acetate sleeve when it's flat.  So do that before you fold it and you'll get your images across the edges of the box too.

Happy Holidays!
Cheers
